Hospitality Volunteer

We pride ourselves on the dignity and safety that clients feel arriving in our building and the wide variety of comforts that we have on hand. The role of Hospitality Volunteer will assist in keeping the physical building space welcoming, assisting clients in moving through the building, organizing food and supplies, and maintaining current resource lists.

Young Professionals Council

The Young Professionals Council (YPC) is comprised of young professionals who are interested in supporting survivors of domestic violence in the Denver Metro area. Members achieve this through conducting public outreach, event planning, the paying of dues, and fundraising for the Sierra Russell Fund. In return, members receive access to exclusive networking events, social hours, and meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide a way to use their professional skills to give back to our community.

Volunteer as a Hope Coach for our Youth Pathways Program!

The Rose Andom Center’s Pathways program is for youth ages 7 – 16 who have been impacted by violence. Hope Coaches are mentors for participants in the program and volunteer 3 – 4 hours each month at regular pathways events. This is a group mentoring program, with each Pathways event offering a different, engaging activity for the group. Pathways events may involve touring a local museum, creating an art project, picnics & games in the park, participating in a soccer clinic, etc. Pathways events typically occur on a Saturday afternoon or evening during the week.

The focus of the Pathways program is to help youth overcome trauma by focusing on the power of community and the possibilities of the future, encouraging participants to try new things by stepping into their ‘challenge zone’. The mission of Pathways is to create pathways of hope and healing for participants. This year-round program is also paired with a summer camp, Camp Hope America-Colorado, which takes place in the summer as a sleep-away camp at the beautiful Camp Shady Brook (stay tuned for volunteer opportunities for Camp Hope 2024).

Survivors:

Survivors and secondary survivors of domestic violence make amazing volunteers. We are grateful to survivors and former clients who want to give back and help us provide an environment where survivors can thrive.  Because volunteering at the Rose Andom Center can involve speaking with victims in crisis and hearing disclosures of violent assault and relationship abuse, we encourage you to consider if volunteering in this capacity is right for you at this point in your healing journey.  Rose Andom Center clients are asked to wait at least one year beyond the crisis which initially lead them to seek services before beginning as a volunteer.
