The Rose Andom Center recently partnered with Milender White to successfully complete the final renovation to the new Health Center, with the addition of a fully functional on-site lab. Milender White construction company has been a valued partner, as our general contractor for the complete renovation to the 46,000 square foot building in 2016, creating the welcoming space for victims and their children coming to the Rose Andom Center. We are grateful they once again stepped in to help us on this important project, providing the lab construction at cost, resulting in significant savings for the Rose Andom Center.
The work included a 123 sq. ft. build out of the clinic lab, with new equipment, sinks, solid surface counter tops and cabinetry. Thanks to a grant from the Colorado Health Foundation, the Rose Andom Health Center is staffed full-time by personnel from Denver Health to provide a full scope of health care to aid Rose Andom Center and MotherWise clients and their children. With the lab operational, the Denver Health staff is excited that test results from crucial women’s health care can now be available in the clinic day-of, instead of patients having to anxiously wait while lab work is sent off site for processing.
Staff from Denver Health, Milender White, The Beck Group, MotherWise and the Rose Andom Center cut the ribbon on the completed construction of the lab last week. In recognition of our on-going partnership, the Milender White leadership team presented the Rose Andom Center with a wonderful plaque, articulating the strength and importance of collaboration.
The Rose Andom Center is the ideal setting to address the health and psychosocial needs of women who have experienced violence. Having one community space to access medical services and care to domestic violence victims ensures that victims receive full-time, on-site and comprehensive support. We are so appreciative of Milender White’s partnership and support of this vision!
