The Rose Andom Center is thrilled to announce expanded partnerships with two incredible organizations – Project PAVE and The Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Clinic (JAMLAC). Each of these partners brings integral services to clients at Rose Andom Center. Project PAVE strives to empower youth to end the cycle of relationship violence and JAMLAC seeks justice for those struggling with poverty and oppression.
Shelly Dill from JAMLAC will be meeting with clients bi-monthly at Rose Andom Center. Dill expressed: “JAMLAC is honored to be a continued partner of the Rose Andom Center. JAMLAC believes that we can transform lives through legal aid and seeks justice for those struggling with poverty, oppression, or abuse. Specifically, helping victims of domestic violence, sex assault and stalking with a broad array of civil legal needs comes directly from our mission, to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly.” We are thrilled to be working with Shelly Dill and JAMLAC to provide such important legal services.
Alexis Johnson and Shaun Dowdell from Project PAVE will be providing services for clients and their children at Rose Andom Center weekly. Project PAVE’s mission stems from the recognition that the cycle of relationship violence is generational and affects people in every community. PAVE’s approach to ending this cycle is through therapy and family support services, violence prevention education, and youth leadership.
When asked about expanding their partnership with Rose Andom Center, Johnson shared: “Partnering with the Rose Andom Center is deeply important to Project PAVE, because it creates a network that clients can depend on to receive services and resources at the same place, while mitigating barriers. It is so important that community organizations collaborate for the benefit of the community. Therefore, strategically partnering to bridge the gap between service providers creates a network of collaborators and that is the end goal – to effectively serve the community.”
And Dowdell said, “Partnering with Rose Andom Center strengthens our capacity to serve as a catalyst for healthy lifestyle choices. The opportunity to facilitate healing with families in our diverse communities is an honor.”
