Highlights from the Volunteer & Outreach Department

2020 was a record year for volunteer and community support at the Rose Andom Center! Due to the successful development of our volunteer program, volunteers and interns contributed 2,574 hours of direct service support, greatly expanding our capacity.

In Fall 2020, we recruited, trained, and onboarded (virtually!) a team of 8 volunteers and 5 interns. Advocates and supporters from the Denver community gathered via zoom to learn crisis intervention, domestic violence dynamics, and community resources. Our active volunteers currently contribute the equivalent in hours of 3 full-time positions. Our Volunteer Navigators are working from home to help answer around 400 calls a month and provide support and hope to survivors and their children in Colorado! With the support of our new Intern Intake Specialists in August, we broke a Rose Andom Center record for the most intakes in one month in October 2020, connecting 124 survivors with resources. Altogether, 1,140 survivors completed intakes and were connected with vital resources. We could not have achieved this without the support of our community and volunteers!

The next virtual Volunteer Navigator will be hosted in March 2020. You can learn more about our volunteer opportunities, the upcoming training, and eligibility on our website at:
