Join us for “Brave Journeys – Voices of our Community”, appetizers, and refreshments on Wednesday, March 30th, starting at 5 p.m., at the Rose Andom Center (virtual participation option may be available).

This is a second installment of an inspiring event that will address taking risks, overcoming adversity, and living fearlessly in today’s world. These themes have touched everyone who is part of the Rose Andom Center community, including our founders, who invested in and built our space; our partners, who believed in getting involved in a new model of service; domestic abuse victims who are breaking the cycle; and the younger generation of leaders who are experiencing new opportunities to make a difference.

“You should never view your challenges as a disadvantage. Instead, it’s important for you to understand that your experience facing and overcoming adversity is actually one of your biggest advantages. The world needs to hear your story.” – Michelle Obama, former first lady.

The Rose Andom Center will be introducing our VOICES Survivor Advocacy Network whose mission is to provide a safe, survivor-led space for survivors of domestic violence by finding the courage to speak their genuine truth and increase public awareness. VOICES seeks to empower other survivors by breaking the silence through resources, advocacy, hope, solidarity and inspiration to spark meaningful change in the community.

Hosted and facilitated by the VOICES Network – panel and audience will talk about challenges and adversity we have all faced in different times of our lives, to share how we were able to overcome, what we needed or what was missing from our community/support networks, how we’ve grown, what helped us heal, and what we hope for the future and for supporting others.
