On June 29th 2016, the Rose Andom Center opened to the public ready to offer domestic violence survivors a safe place to find connections and a path to hope and healing. The Rose Andom Center is Denver’s Family Justice Center – a single, safe location where survivors of domestic violence and their children can find centralized resources when in crisis, needing help after a domestic violence incident, and support for rebuilding a life without violence.
One place. Immeasurable hope.
This year we recognized 6 years during our June anniversary month and we honored Anne DePrince, Associate Vice Provost for Public Strategy & Research and Distinguished Professor at the University of Denver, for her commitment to her research that has long-reaching positive impacts on the lives of survivors.
We also celebrated our VOICES Network, whose mission is to provide a safe, survivor-led space for survivors of domestic violence by finding the courage to speak their genuine truth and increase public awareness. VOICES seeks to empower other survivors by breaking the silence through resources, advocacy, hope, solidarity and inspiration to spark meaningful change in the community.
