Volunteer as a Hope Coach for our Youth Pathways Program!
The Rose Andom Center’s Pathways program is for youth ages 7 – 16 who have been impacted by violence. Hope Coaches are mentors for participants in the program and volunteer 3 – 4 hours each month at regular pathways events. This is a group mentoring program, with each Pathways event offering a different, engaging activity for the group. Pathways events may involve touring a local museum, creating an art project, picnics & games in the park, participating in a soccer clinic, etc. Pathways events typically occur on a Saturday afternoon or evening during the week.
The focus of the Pathways program is to help youth overcome trauma by focusing on the power of community and the possibilities of the future, encouraging participants to try new things by stepping into their ‘challenge zone’. The mission of Pathways is to create pathways of hope and healing for participants. This year-round program is also paired with a summer camp, Camp Hope America-Colorado, which takes place in the summer as a sleep-away camp at the beautiful Camp Shady Brook.

Rose Andom Center clients are asked to wait at least one year beyond the crisis which initially lead them to seek services before beginning as a volunteer.
