Our partners and collaborations

The Rose Andom Center partners provide a wide array of services to victims and their children. Based on survivor feedback and the experience of other family justice centers, it was anticipated that the biggest need would be for advocacy and counseling, civil legal help, and access to shelter and housing. Project Safeguard, Colorado Legal Services, SafeHouse Denver, Servicios de la Raza, Asian Pacific Development Center and the Blue Bench were initial partners at the planning table to address these needs, as were Project PAVE, Healing From the Heart and Denver Children’s Advocacy Center to provide support and counseling to children exposed to domestic violence.

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and Denver Human Services have been vital partners to assist victims with housing instability and accessing public benefits. To help increase capacity and meet the growing needs since opening we are grateful for newer partnerships with Latina Safehouse, Maria Droste Counseling Center, Justice & Mercy Legal Aid Clinic and the Central Visitation Program. The staff of MotherWise have provided wonderful care and supervision to victim’s children in our delightful children’s area and partnered to provide support and services to pregnant and new mothers who are also experiencing domestic violence.

In 2019 we were so pleased to launch the Rose Andom Center Health Clinic in partnership with Denver Health, providing primary care medical and behavioral health services to victims and their children.

From our initial discussions about creating a family justice center, Denver’s criminal legal system agencies have committed their time and expertise to the development and success of the Rose Andom Center. The Denver City Attorney’s Office, the Denver District Attorney’s Office, the Denver Police Department’s Domestic Violence Investigation Unit and Crisis Services Section each have dedicated staff at the Center to provide help to those victims engaged with the criminal legal system. Pre-trial services staff and Denver County Court Probation Victim Advocate and District Court Probation Victim Advocate also participate in our coordinated intervention efforts and provide expertise and assistance to victims.

Together the Rose Andom Center staff and our partners have been providing assistance in the immediate aftermath of an abusive incident, and/or as an ongoing resource to address longer-term needs and issues. The resources and support found at the Rose Andom Center are available to all victims of domestic violence who are in need of information and help in finding safety and hope for themselves and their children:
