CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: Everyday, the Rose Andom Center helps domestic abuse survivors like Leigh build safety and inspire hope. Leigh came to us after learning that their abuser, who they had a temporary protective order against, moved less than a mile from their apartment.
After connecting with the Rose Andom Center, Leigh worked with a resource advocate to move into safer housing and develop a safety plan that made them feel more secure. In addition, our partner, Project Safeguard, assisted Leigh with making their abuser’s temporary protection order permanent and notifying both law enforcement and their abuser of the violation.
Eventually, Leigh received financial assistance to move into an apartment with a security system. Through the support of the Rose Andom Center and Project Safeguard, Leigh was finally able to free themselves of their abuser.
