Success At The Center!

Rose sought support from the Rose Andom Center regarding her relationship with her partner of two years. She had been driven from her home by her abuser after he had subjected her to physical, emotional, psychological, and financial abuse for the last year of their relationship. Rose found temporary support and had a safe place to stay for a few days, but time was running out for her to be able to stay there. Rose’s main goal was to have somewhere safe to stay and then get into stable housing so she could live independently.

With collaboration with a resource advocate from the Rose Andom Center, Rose was able to have a secure safe place to stay while she worked on her self-sufficiency goals. Rose worked hard to secure new employment with a livable income and find available housing where she would want to live. With some additional collaborations with agencies that partner with Rose Andom Center, Rose was able to get assistance with covering the deposit and first month’s rent for her new home. Rose took measured steps to remain safe and hidden from her abuser, she is now settled in stable housing, and she is ready to take further steps towards her well-being and self-sufficiency.
