As we reflect on 2023, the Rose Andom Center is proud to share the remarkable milestones and transformative impacts detailed in our recently published 2023 Annual Report. This year was a testament to the resilience of survivors, the power of community, and the generosity of our supporters. Here’s a look at the highlights from an inspiring year of service.
1. Empowering Survivors Through Comprehensive Support
This year, we saw a significant increase in the demand for our services, underscoring the critical need for the support we provide:
– 1,116 new client intakes were completed, a 23% increase over 2022, demonstrating growing awareness of our services.
– 387 returning clients reconnected with essential resources, highlighting the ongoing value of sustained support.
– Over 7,491 phone calls addressed immediate needs and connected individuals with vital resources—a 40% increase from the prior year.
Through these efforts, the Rose Andom Center remains a lifeline for those seeking safety and healing.
2. Expanding Health and Healing Opportunities
Partnerships remain at the heart of our work. Our collaboration with Denver Health facilitated 629 patient visits, serving 282 individuals. These services range from primary and behavioral health care to addressing abuse-related injuries, ensuring survivors and their children receive the care they need.
3. Amplifying Voices of Survivors
The VOICES group, a survivor-led advocacy initiative, played a pivotal role in shaping our programs and outreach. By providing firsthand feedback and participating in community efforts, these leaders ensure our work is grounded in the lived experiences of survivors.
4. Supporting the Next Generation Through Hope
One of our most heartwarming successes was the growth of the Pathways and Camp HOPE programs. Over 50 children and teens engaged in monthly mentorship activities, with 42 children attending Camp HOPE for a transformative week of connection and healing in the Colorado mountains.
5. Addressing Critical Issues to Save Lives
Through our Domestic Violence Fatality Review Program, we worked to analyze and prevent domestic violence-related fatalities, which tragically rose in Colorado in 2022. Our efforts focused on addressing firearm access and fostering systemic changes to reduce these heartbreaking losses.
6. Strong Financial Stewardship
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $3.3 million, ensuring our financial stability and capacity to serve survivors. With a clean audit and a commitment to transparency, we allocated resources effectively to maximize our impact.
Looking Ahead to 2024
The challenges are not over, particularly in addressing the pressing need for affordable housing. However, with the integration of new partners like the Salvation Army’s Housing Now program and the upcoming expansion of services for sexual assault survivors, we are prepared to meet these challenges head-on.

The achievements of 2023 would not have been possible without the dedication of our team, partners, and generous donors. As we move into 2024, we remain committed to providing safety, support, and hope for survivors of domestic violence and their families.
