Camp HOPE and Pathways

Rose Andom Center's Child and Youth Services

The Rose Andom Center’s Child and Youth Programming provides trauma-informed, prevention-based support for children and teens ages 7–16 who have been impacted by family or domestic violence. Through a combination of mentorship, community-building, and positive childhood experiences, youth are given the tools to build confidence, develop healthy relationships, and begin healing in a safe and supportive environment.

Pathways to Hope

Pathways is a year-round monthly mentoring program designed specifically for youth impacted by domestic and family violence. This program seeks to provide consistent, year-round support for participating youth. Each month, youth gather for structured activities where they connect with trained Hope Coaches, supportive adult mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and stability.

These gatherings are designed to foster connection, build social skills, and create a sense of belonging. Through fun, community-based experiences such as outdoor adventures, educational outings, and group activities, youth have the opportunity to strengthen peer relationships while engaging with trusted adults in a safe and positive environment.

“Pathways has provided much needed stability, community, and mentorship for my children. They look forward to the monthly gatherings and feel less alone.”

Examples of Activities:
Denver Botanic Gardens, Hammonds Candy Factory, Denver Aquarium, rock climbing, farm visits, roller skating, community events, and more.

Camp Hope America

Camp Hope America at the Rose Andom Center is a sleep-away summer camp for youth involved in the Pathways program. The curriculum is rooted in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, and the program focuses on helping youth rediscover a sense of safety, belonging, and self-worth.

At camp, participants engage in “challenge-by-choice” activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, swimming, arts and crafts, yoga, and paddleboarding. These experiences are intentionally designed to build resilience, encourage personal growth, and allow youth to explore their strengths at their own pace. Campers are supported by trained staff and mentors who create an environment centered on encouragement, trust, and connection.

Beyond the activities, Camp Hope offers something deeper, a space where youth can simply be kids, build friendships, and experience joy while surrounded by a community that believes in them. Pathways plays a critical role in maintaining continuity of care beyond the summer camp experience, ensuring that youth continue to feel supported, connected, and empowered throughout the year.

“Camp Hope is a transformational experience. My child came home more confident, capable, and expressive. We are so grateful for this program.”

A Community of Hope and Healing

Healing from trauma does not happen in isolation, it happens in community. Camp Hope and Pathways are built on the belief that supportive relationships and consistent connection are essential for long-term healing.

Through these programs, youth and their caregivers become part of a larger community that fosters encouragement, understanding, and shared experience. By offering free, accessible programming throughout the Denver Metro Area, we remove barriers so that all youth can participate, regardless of financial circumstances.

All programming is provided at no cost to participants. Transportation may be available, and meals are often provided, ensuring that families can engage fully without added stress or burden.

Building Confidence, Connection, and Hope

Participation in Camp Hope and Pathways has been shown to positively impact youth who have experienced trauma. Through consistent mentorship and positive experiences, youth develop stronger self-esteem, improved emotional regulation, and increased confidence in themselves and their abilities.

The program helps youth thrive by creating opportunities for success, connection, and personal growth. Many participants report feeling less isolated, more understood, and more hopeful about their future.
