Rose Andom Center Expands Services to Support Survivors of Sexual Assault
New partnerships with Denver Police Department and The Blue Bench deepen commitment to comprehensive survivor support under one roof

DENVER – Wednesday, April 23, 2025 – Today, United States Congresswoman Diana DeGette, Denver District Attorney John Walsh, Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas, Rose Andom Center Board Chair Alana Watkins, and Interim Executive Director of The Blue Bench Michelle Wiley announced the expansion of services at the Rose Andom Center to include sexual assault. The Rose Andom Center, known for its work with domestic violence survivors, will now provide services and resources for survivors of sexual assault.
“The Rose Andom Center is a vital lifeline for survivors of domestic violence,” said Congresswoman DeGette. “Their expansion of services will reach even more individuals and families in need, deepening their impact through comprehensive support including counseling, health care, legal advocacy, and more. In Congress, I’ve proudly championed legislation to strengthen victim assistance programs, and I remain committed to working alongside dedicated partners like the Rose Andom Center to ensure every survivor receives the care and support they deserve.”
As of this month, survivors of sexual assault now have the option to walk into the Rose Andom Center for services that include crisis intervention, legal resources, community referrals, medical care, and – if they so choose – reporting the incident to Denver Police.
“Since opening in 2016, the Rose Andom Center has made incredible strides in reducing barriers to access to services for survivors of domestic violence by co-locating agencies and community partners in one place,” said Rose Andom Board Chair Watkins. “We know that sexual assault survivors face many of these same barriers and we are thrilled to be expanding our services so that those in need can access a variety of services in a safe, trauma-informed environment.”
Operating under the Family Justice Center model, the Rose Andom Center reduces barriers and offers a variety of services in a centralized location to ensure survivors have access to the resources they need without the added stress of navigating multiple agencies. This collaborative approach, guided by empathy and respect, ensures that each survivor is met with the care and dignity they deserve as they begin their journey toward safety and recovery.
“The Blue Bench proudly partners with the Rose Andom Center to expand support for sexual assault survivors,” said The Blue Bench Interim Executive Director Wiley. This collaboration, leveraging the Family Justice Center model, streamlines access to services, reduces the burden on survivors, and strengthens our collective impact in the Metro Denver area. As the sole comprehensive sexual violence service provider in Metro Denver, The Blue Bench is committed to these partnerships in pursuit of a future free from sexual violence.”
Recently, investigators, victims’ assistants, and crime analysts from the Denver Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit moved into the Rose Andom Center to enhance response and services for survivors of sexual assault. Additionally, The Blue Bench, a comprehensive sexual assault prevention and survivor support team, moved in the Rose Andom Center building to provide advocacy services.
“DPD is honored to partner with the Rose Andom Center to best serve survivors of sexual assault in one location,” said Chief Thomas. “Providing services for survivors of sexual assault will ensure they have access to additional services and options when seeking care and the Denver Police Department’s specialized team of investigators and victims’ assistants are there for them if they choose to report the assault to law enforcement.”
Walk-ins to the Rose Andom Center at 1330 Fox Street Denver are welcome during business hours:
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Survivors may also call (720) 337-4400 to speak with an advocate. All services are offered in a culturally responsive, inclusive environment where survivors’ safety, dignity, and autonomy come first.
