Walk "One Mile Closer to Hope" to kick-off DVAM!

DVAM Walk 2025

Join Us for the 2025 Domestic Violence Awareness Walk
Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Start: Rose Andom Center, 1330 Fox St, Denver, CO 80204
End: City and County Building, Denver, CO

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and our community is coming together to support survivors of intimate partner violence and raise awareness about the issue. This walk is a chance to stand in solidarity, show support, and help build a future free from domestic violence.

We’ll start at the Rose Andom Center, where everyone is invited to join survivors, advocates, and community leaders for a meaningful walk to the City and County Building. Along the way, we’ll shine a light on the impact intimate partner violence has on individuals and families, and we’ll honor the strength and voices of survivors.

Every time someone listens to a survivor, works to understand their experience, and takes action to help, we get one step closer to a future without domestic violence. This walk is one mile closer to hope.

Survivors are all around us. If you are a survivor, know a survivor, or simply want to show support, we hope you’ll join us for this important day.

Event Schedule:

  • 10 AM – Gather and opening remarks, Walk begins

  • 10:30 AM – Arrive at the City and County Building – Speakers share stories and reflections

  • 11:30 AM – Conclusion
